Suzy Starlite and Simon Campbell are seasoned songwriters and musicians.

Following a whirlwind musical romance they married in 2014 and since getting together they have been writing and have amassed over 60 new songs.

Blueberry Pie

Inspired by the music from the mid-to-late 60's, Suzy and Simon wanted to cook up a 'fresh taste of British Blues'.

In April 2016 they wrote their debut album, Blueberry Pie in just two weeks then set about demoing the material and finding the right musicians to work on the album.

It was recorded and mixed at Supertone Records in Estivella, Spain between July and November 2016 and features Danny Boy Sánchez on Harmonica, Steve Gibson on Drums and Jonny Henderson on Hammond & Wurlitzer.

The heartbeat of Blues music for us lies in the telling of life's stories and experiences and, as songwriters, we wanted to document a musical snapshot of the flavours and feel of life today.

Blueberry Pie was released on February 1, 2017 and is available at direct from the bandiTunes, Amazon and virtually all online stores.

Suzy Starlite

Suzy plays a fiendishly groovy bass guitar, acoustic guitar and is a vocalist and songwriter.

She studied Media & Performance at Salford University and was a member of Folk Rock band Megiddo, who released an EP in 1994 followed by an album 1996.

In 2012, she formed the band Starlite and drafted in Simon on guitar. That year they played many gigs featuring all original material including Mannifest, a three day festival.

Simon Campbell

Simon is a guitar player, vocalist, songwriter and record producer.

Following a number of original bands he was signed to Polydor Records in the early 90's and released an album with his band Little Brother. After the band split he went on to form the Disciples and released an album in 1994.

Over a long music career Simon has had many brushes with the blues and 2011 saw him nominated for a British Blues Award following the release of his debut solo album, ThirtySix. 2014 saw him release his second solo album, The Knife which reflected Simon's increasing love of acoustic music from both sides of the Atlantic.

What people are saying about 'Blueberry Pie'

“Dare we say, their debut release on the Supertone label, Blueberry Pie,  will be taking the Isles, nay, the world, by storm.” - JD Nash - American Blues Scene. USA
“This is one fine piece of British Blues from the opening ‘Walkin’ Out The Door’ to the last with ‘Thrill You’. It looks as though 2017 is already starting with a greater sense of musical joi de vivre than 2016 and this album definitely adds to that. A real slice of the right attitude and great playing.”  - Andy Snipper - Music News
I just listened to your album! It’s awesome - Stephane Bihan, Ch' Ti Blues Society, France
“It’s a great record to put on to while away an hour, with its familiarity and sweet sound, but it will give its greatest reward if you pay attention, focus a little and see exactly how good a contemporary blues record can be.” - Ian McHugh, Blues is the Truth, UK

"Stylish and riveting guitar playing!” Jakob Wandam, Editor, Blues News, Denmark
Blueberry Pie is a big bowlful of luscious rock and blues with thoughtful lyrics, played with precision.  It’s that damn good. - Phillip Smith, Philly Cheeze’s Blues and Rock Reviews
Just as the Rolling Stones are making huge waves with their 30th studio release, Blue & Lonesome, along come a couple of seasoned musicians who bring back the sound of early UK blues, to near perfection. - JD Nash - American Blues Scene, USA
The Starlite Campbell Band, while being totally legit, original and able song craftspeople, they are deeply steeped in the British tradition of the genre.

There’s even hints to the Irish invasion - some Gary Moore overtones in CRY OVER YOU - while the powerful opener WALKIN' OUT THE DOOR has got “HIT” written all over. Great cover, too! - Edoardo Fassio, Catfish Blues Show, Italy
