Following a whirlwind musical romance they married in 2014 and since getting together they have been writing and have amassed over 60 new songs.
Inspired by the music from the mid-to-late 60's, Suzy and Simon wanted to cook up a 'fresh taste of British Blues'.
In April 2016 they wrote their debut album, Blueberry Pie in just two weeks then set about demoing the material and finding the right musicians to work on the album.
It was recorded and mixed at Supertone Records in Estivella, Spain between July and November 2016 and features Danny Boy Sánchez on Harmonica, Steve Gibson on Drums and Jonny Henderson on Hammond & Wurlitzer.
The heartbeat of Blues music for us lies in the telling of life's stories and experiences and, as songwriters, we wanted to document a musical snapshot of the flavours and feel of life today.
If you would like to know more, take a look at Simon's in-depth article about the motivation behind the album.
Suzy plays a fiendishly groovy bass guitar, acoustic guitar and is a vocalist and songwriter.
She studied Media & Performance at Salford University and was a member of Folk Rock band Megiddo, who released an EP in 1994 followed by an album 1996.
In 2012, she formed the band Starlite and drafted in Simon on guitar. That year they played many gigs featuring all original material including Mannifest, a three day festival.

Simon is a guitar player, vocalist, songwriter and record producer.
Following a number of original bands he was signed to Polydor Records in the early 90's and released an album with his band Little Brother. After the band split he went on to form the Disciples and released an album in 1994.
Over a long music career Simon has had many brushes with the blues and 2011 saw him nominated for a British Blues Award following the release of his debut solo album, ThirtySix. 2014 saw him release his second solo album, The Knife which reflected Simon's increasing love of acoustic music from both sides of the Atlantic.

“This is one fine piece of British Blues from the opening ‘Walkin’ Out The Door’ to the last with ‘Thrill You’. A real slice of the right attitude and great playing.” - Andy Snipper - Music News
