Joan Enric Lluna is an incredibly talented clarinetist, conductor and teacher. He has performed on the International stage with some of the world's finest chamber groups and orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic and London Symphony.

Joan currently lives in Spain where he is principal clarinetist for the Orchestra CV of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, Valencia.

His commitment to chamber music has seen him perform with many first class artists including Tasmin Little, Martin Roscoe, Lluis Claret and Josep Colom. He has also performed with the Alexander, Tokyo, Jerusalem and Brodsky quartets.

Notable performance include The City of London Festival, Festival Classique - The Hague, San Francisco Chamber Music Series, Konzerthaus Berlin and the Madrid Liceo de Cámara.

Joan has also premiered and commissioned a number of chamber works by composers and his teaching work includes master-classes and recitals at California State University, Royal College and Royal Academy of London and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music, Glasgow.

Supertone had the pleasure of recording a live performance with Joan and the Elan Quintet on location at the Teatro Capitolio in Godella, Valencia, Spain. The concert also featured the wonderful oboe player Cristina Gómez.

The recording will be used for a video, shot by Alex Baker to celebrate the 10th Anniversary concert of The Moonwinds Ensemble, to be released later on CD.
