Electrolite is an 80's synth dance band who released their first EP in May 2014 on Supertone Records.
Electrolite
Electrolite is an 80's synth dance band based in London, England and comprises Suzy Starlite (vocals), Simon Campbell (Drum & Bass programming, Guitars, Theremin and backing vocals) and Mark Cleator (Analog Synthesizers).
This side project is based on Supertone Artists Suzy Starlite and and Simon Campbell's love of 80's electronic music and their sound has been likened to early Human League, Erasure and Depeche Mode.
Unashamedly 80's dance and crafted using authentic analog synthesizers and valve amplifiers, the band used their original experience of the time to create something quite magical.

Suzy Starlite
Suzy is a fine vocalist and songwriter plus plays fiendishly groovy bass, guitar and keyboards. Studying Media & Performance at Salford University she soon joined folk rockers Megiddo, who released an EP in 1994 followed by an album 1996 and toured extensively on the UK folk circuit.
In 2012, she formed the band Starlite and drafted in Simon on guitar. That year they played many gigs featuring all original material penned by Suzy, including Mannifest, a three day festival on the Isle of Man.
Suzy's complete biographyMark Cleator
Born on the Isle of Wight, but raised from a young age on the sunny Isle of Man, Mark was exposed to electronics from a young age, leading to an early fascination with computers and, soon after, synthesizers. He has played guitar, keyboard and bass in many bands, latterly with his own outfit Tate, where he also unwillingly took on vocal duties.
Over the years he has assembled a collection of the many world's most revered vintage analog synthesisers many which appear on the Electrolite material.

Simon Campbell
Simon is a guitar player, vocalist, songwriter and record producer. Following a number of original bands he was signed to Polydor Records in the early 90's and released an album with his band Little Brother. After the band split he went on to form the Disciples and released an album in 1994.
In 2011 Simon was nominated in the Best Vocalist category in the British Blues Awards 2011 following the release of his debut solo album ThirtySix. 2014 saw him release his second solo album, The Knife which reflected Simon's increasing love of acoustic music from both sides of the Atlantic.

Electrolite
This is the first EP from the band released on May 1, 2014
In early 2103 Suzy and Simon met up with analog synth guru Mark Cleator to see if they could realise their vision to create an electronic based EP and following sessions in the Isle of Man, Duras (France) and Betera (Spain) eight tracks were written in quick succession.
The Electrolite EP represents the first three from the collection and were recorded and mixed at the Chairworks Studios in Castleford, Yorkshire...
The band worked hard to produce the finest sounding record they could using the best equipment, recording techniques and mastering. When listening to the 180g vinyl - by far the best medium on which to appreciate the EP - you feel totally connected to the songs.
If you download direct from the band, it's best to use Bandcamp as here you can choose the quality you want from the best 24 bit / 96 kHz all the way down to mp3, but of course vinyl is the way to go!
We do hope you enjoy it. Turn it up loud and dance...

Come Home
When you walk outside and the rain is pouring and youYou don’t know what to do
You just gotta, gotta, gotta
You gotta throw it away
When the cards are stacked against you and everything is falling and you,
You don’t know what to do
You just gotta, gotta, gotta
You gotta throw it away
Make me want to be like you
Show me what to do then I’ll make it through
Make me want to live like you
Then there is no excuse not to come home
So you go out to a festival and everyone is dancing and you,
You don’t know how to be free
You just gotta, gotta, gotta
You gotta throw it away
And the ghost work is shining and everyone is staring at you,
You don’t know how to feel
You just gotta, gotta, gotta
You gotta throw it away
Make me want to be like you
Show me what to do then I’ll make it through
Make me want to live like you
Then there is no excuse not to come home
How long must I wait
For you to be willing to recognise that I am on your side
How long....
Make me want to be like you
Show me what to do then I’ll make it through
Make me want to live like you
Then there is no excuse not to come home
Not to come home.... come home...
Dance With Me
I looked across and I caught a glimpse of your eyeAnd I want to know
Could there be something between us?
I had this feeling that was a little unnerving
So I turned away
Could there be something between us?
Dance with me
Dance with me
Dance with me
I’d ask the waitress to send you a note but I’m
A little shy
Could there be something between us?
I wasn’t looking for any connection
Which is why I don’t understand
Could there be something between us?
Dance with me
Dance with me
Dance with me
Take Me Now
I never had a loverThat makes me feel the way you do
So much to discover
I pinch my heart to feel it’s true
You never had a lover
That makes you feel the way you do
Make each other discover
Every time our touch is true.... yes, it’s true now
In the middle of the night when I wake up
And look into your eyes
Take, take me now, love me now
Take, take me now, love me now
I never knew a lover
The way I feel when I’m with you
There is so much to discover
With every touch I feel brand new
In the middle of the night when I wake up
And look into your eyes
Take, take me now, love me now
Take, take me now, love me now
Tonight our souls connecting
In each others eyes
Take, take me now, love me now
Take, take me now, love me now
I never had, I never had, I never had.....
