Andy is a a fine electric/double bass player, record producer and recording engineer. Probably best known for his work with folk superstar Kate Rusby, recording and mixing many records, including the 'Mercury' nominated album Sleepless.

Hailing from the Dearne Valley in South Yorkshire, England, he has worked extensively with Kate and virtuoso guitarist Martin Simpson; producing his critically acclaimed albums True Stories (2007), Purpose and Grace (2011) and playing bass in his trio and big band. 

In 2007, he won a prestigious Sony Gold Award for his work as series producer on 'The Radio Ballads' for BBC Radio 2.
